Why URS?

Many students at the University of Illinois-Chicago conduct academic quality. Even more would like to conduct research if only they had an opportunity.

Given that need, the Undergraduate Research Symposium was created. The Steering Committee would like to use the symposium to showcase this high-caliber research and use it to demonstrate a greater need for research in education.

The Undergraduate Research Symposium is one of the first multi-disciplinary research conferences in the nation. In the future years, we would like to see the research symposium grow into a campus-wide event with hundreds of poster presentations in every category.
